Start Time for Saturday’s Regatta at Lake Monticello Changed to 10 a.m.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The start time for Virginia’s final home regatta at Lake Monticello on Saturday, April 7 has been changed to 10 a.m.

With the arrival of a wintry cold front, Saturday morning temperatures are expected to be in the low-30s, with a high of 46 degrees predicted by Weather.com for the afternoon.

Central Florida, Duke, No. 20 Michigan State, and No. 7 Virginia will race in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, and novice eight events. The last race begins at 2:45 p.m. The full line-up is listed below.

Directions to Lake Monticello
From East/West:
Take I-64 East to exit 129; go South on Rte. 616 for 6 miles. Then turn RIGHT onto Rte. 600 for 1.5 miles. Then turn RIGHT onto Rte. 618 for one mile to the Lake Monticello Gate on the left. Turn into Main Gate (left lane for visitors). The lake is 1/4 mile straight ahead.

From South: Take 29 North to I-64 East to exit 129; turn RIGHT onto Rte. 616 for 6 miles. Then turn RIGHT onto Rte. 600 for 1.5 miles. Then turn RIGHT onto Rte. 618 for one mile to the Lake Monticello Gate on the left. Turn into Main Gate (left lane for visitors). The lake is 1/4 mile straight ahead.

From North: Take 29 South to Rte. 250 (Richmond exit). Stay on 250 to I-64 East (Richmond). Take I-64 East to exit 129; turn RIGHT onto Rte. 616 for 6 miles. Then turn RIGHT onto Rte. 600 for 1.5 miles. Then turn RIGHT onto Rte. 618 for one mile to the Lake Monticello Gate on the left. Turn into Main Gate (left lane for visitors). The lake is 1/4 mile straight ahead.
