UVa Release on the Georgia Tech Series

Charlottesville, VA – Due to the expectation of inclement weather Saturday afternoon, the start time for Virginia’s home baseball game against Georgia Tech at Davenport Field has been moved up to noon. Game times for Friday (7 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.) contests will remain as originally scheduled. Saturday’s game was originally scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

The fifth-ranked Cavaliers (30-7, 10-5 ACC) enter the series in second place in the ACC’s Coastal Division, one game behind North Carolina (30-5,11-4). The Yellow Jackets (21-13, 9-6) are in third place. Virginia has won four of its five ACC series thus far this season.

Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance to guarantee admission and avoid lines at the ticket box offices. An additional 310 bleacher seats have been added to Davenport Field for the remainder of the Cavaliers’ home games starting with this weekend’s series.

Tickets for the Georgia Tech series are available online at www.virginiasports.com. The ticket box office and gates at Davenport Field open two hours before the start of each game.
