Tonight’s Virginia-Richmond baseball game at Davenport Field will start at 7:10. Prior to the start of the game, there will be a period of reflection to honor the lives of students and faculty who were killed and injured at Virginia Tech yesterday.

At 7 p.m., the University Chapel bells will toll for five minutes. At 7:05 p.m. a moment of silence will be observed prior to the National Anthem.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone touched by the devastating events at Virginia Tech,” said Virginia Athletics Director Craig Littlepage. “We join our colleagues around the Commonwealth and nationally in expressing our sorrow to the students, staff and alumni of Virginia Tech. Many of us know individuals who work or study at Virginia Tech or have family members and friends who do, and our hearts are with all of them. This is a time when we all must be available to provide support, assistance and understanding to those affected by what has happened in Blacksburg.”
