CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The No. 5 Virginia women’s rowing team travels to the 2007 ACC Women’s Rowing Championships at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C.

Action begins with the varsity four race at 9 a.m., followed by the novice eight at 9:20 a.m., and the second varsity eight at 9:40 a.m. The varsity eight race begins at 10 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow the completion of the day’s events.

Virginia has won seven consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference championships since the league began sponsoring the sport in 2000. The Cavaliers have won all but two races in the seven-year history of the championships.

Last year, Duke (43) finished second behind the 11th-ranked Cavaliers (60). Miami (34) was third, followed by host Clemson (30), Boston College (25), and North Carolina (17). In the varsity eight race, the Blue Devils finished just 9-tenths of a second behind UVa.
