Charlottesville, VA – The Virginia Student-Athlete Mentors will host a Shootout for Cancer Sunday from 12 to 4 at MAD Bowl at the University. The annual spring picnic gives the youth of Charlottesville a chance to interact and compete with their favorite student-athletes. Athletes will play games with, compete against, sign autographs for and enjoy lunch with children and their families. There will also be a silent auction for adults. All proceeds raised benefit The Jennifer Fund, which supports pediatric cancer research.
The event takes place at Mad Bowl located at Rugby Road and University Avenue on Grounds. Tickets are $5 each or include a family pack of 5 for $20 and include lunch, games and prizes. For advanced tickets please contact Sue Hildebrand at (434) 982-5127.
