CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s varsity eight crew maintained its No. 5 national ranking in this week’s poll, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.
For the third consecutive week, Southern Cal, which also earned 21 of the 25 first-place votes, was No. 1. Yale, which earned the remaining four first-place votes, moved up three spots to No. 2. Notre Dame, Brown, Virginia, Michigan, California, Princeton, and UCLA rounded out the Top 10. Michigan made the biggest move of the week, jumping from 13 to sixth.
The No. 5 Cavaliers take a break for final exams before returning to action at the South/Central Regionals in Oak Ridge, Tenn., on May 12-13.
