PrepVolleyball.com numerically ranked its top 30 recruiting while 14 schools, including Virginia, were grouped together and received Highest Honorable Mention. PrepVolleyball.com also listed recruiting classes in High Honorable Mention and Honorable Mention categories, naming 94 schools in total. Nine schools from the ACC received mention in the rankings.
“We’re excited to receive recognition from PrepVolleyball.com for our recruiting class of 2007,” said head coach Melissa Aldrich Shelton. “We too believe they are an excellent group of players who will have a large impact on the success of our program during their careers.”
Virginia’s recruiting class includes defensive specialist A.J. Cushman (Richmond, Va./James River), middle Sydney Hill (Kalamazoo Mich./Portage Northern), setter Kelly Irvin (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Marymount) and rightside Kendahl Voelker (Fort Myers, Fl./Canterbury).
