CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia athletics department announced today the design and release of the 2007 Virginia football official fan t-shirt. UVa partnered with Nike to create this season’s official fan t-shirt.
The shirt is available for $15 exclusively at the Cavalier Team Shop online and the Cavalier Team Shop at the John Paul Jones Arena. The Cavalier Team Shop online is located at www.virginiasports.com, the official website of Virginia Athletics. Fans may also purchase the shirt at Scott Stadium on the days of home football games this fall and at the annual Meet the Team Day on Sunday, Aug. 12, at the stadium.
“We’re excited to be included in Nike’s official fan t-shirt program,” said Todd Goodale, associate athletics director for marketing and video services. “This season’s shirt is designed to portray the large fan following and excitement associated with Virginia football. I expect to see many of these shirts throughout the `Cavalier Nation’ this fall.”
A contest involving the UVa student body is scheduled for next spring to determine the design of the 2008 Virginia football official fan t-shirt.
