MISSION, Kan. – Virginia junior Yannick Reyering (Mettingen, Germany) is one of 29 players named to the 2007 Hermann Trophy Watch List for men’s soccer, released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Reyering will enter his final season of eligibility with the Cavaliers this fall. He led the team in scoring last season with 12 goals and 79 points. A second-team NSCAA All-South Region honoree and a second-team All-ACC selection, Reyering also led UVa with a six game-winning goals.
The No. 6 Cavaliers host South Florida in exhibition action at Klöckner Stadium on Saturday, August 25. The season opener is slated for Friday, August 31 against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium.
Last season, the Cavaliers finished with a 17-4-1 overall record and reached the NCAA College Cup. Fifteen players, including six starters, return from that squad.
