Q&A: Liz Downs
Junior defender Liz Downs earned All-South Region honors last season after collecting 25 ground balls, 14 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers. Downs will look to lead the squad this weekend when the Cavaliers host Loyola (Md.) in their season opener on Saturday at the UHall Turf Field.

• January 7, 2010 • Maryland’s Montgomery County Gazette named three Cavaliers to its All-Decade High School Girls Lacrosse Team. Current All-American Kaitlin Duff was named to the team after guiding Stone Ridge to its first-ever ISL AA Championship game and she still holds the Gators’ single-season scoring mark. Former Cavalier All-American Claire Bordley and Tyler Leachmen were also named to Maryland’s all-decade team.
