Charlottesville, VA With large crowds expected for two Virginia home athletics events that both start at 1 p.m. Saturday, department officials are urging Cavalier fans to purchase tickets in advance and arrive early for those contests.
The events include the top-ranked Virginia men’s lacrosse team hosting Towson and the 18th-ranked baseball squad facing No. 14 Florida State. Last weekend the men’s lacrosse team’s home match with Cornell drew over 5,000 fans to Klckner Stadium. The baseball team, off to a 13-0 start entering today’s game with VMI, will be hosting its first ACC series this weekend at Davenport Field.
Fans can purchase advance tickets to either event online at VirginiaSports.com or by calling 1-800-542-UVA1. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at the athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall, Monday Friday from 9 a.m. 5 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased on Saturday at the entrance to Klckner Stadium and Davenport Field. The events are ticketed separately. Reserved tickets for each game are $9 and general admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth, seniors, and UVa faculty and staff. The ticket booths will open at 11 a.m.
Parking is available for both games in the University Hall and John Paul Jones Arena parking lots.
