Charlottesville, VA — The Virginia men’s golf team resumes play Sunday at The Hootie Invitational at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C. The 15-team tournament is named after the popular band Hootie and the Blowfish, whose members belong to the Bulls Bay Club. The event runs through Tuesday.
Virginia’s lineup will include Will Collins, Ben Kohles, Kyle Stough, Conrad Von Borsig and Cole Willcox. Kohles leads UVa with a 72.75 stroke average while Collins has posted two top-five finishes this spring. Von Borsig was UVa’s top finisher at last week’s Schenkel E-Z Go Invitational.
The field for the tournament features Augusta State, College of Charleston, Clemson, Georgia State, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina, USC-Aiken, UT-Chattanooga, Central Florida and Wake Forest.
