CHARLOTTESVILLE Virginia’s Lyndra Littles is one of 15 players invited to the 2009 WNBA Draft, which is set for Thursday, April 9, at the NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, N.J.

ESPN2 will provide live coverage and analysis of the first round of the draft beginning at 3 p.m. ET while ESPNU and NBA TV will broadcast the second and third rounds. In addition, WNBA.com will cover all three rounds, providing complete analysis and comprehensive information on all 13 teams’ selections.

Littles (Washington, D.C.), missed nine games during the fall semester, but her 20.5 points per game scoring average would have led the Atlantic Coast Conference during the regular season had she played in 75 percent of Virginia’s games. She also led the ACC by averaging 22.7 points per game in 14 league games. The 6-1 senior also contributed 6.4 rebounds per game en route to first team All-ACC honors.

Littles’ accolades also included a spot on the midseason list for the Naismith Trophy, as well being named a regional finalist for the State Farm Coaches’ All-American Team.

During her final season, Littles became only the third player in UVa history to score 1,800 points and grab 800 rebounds (Heather Burge and Wendy Palmer are the others). She finished her career as UVa’s fourth all-time leading scorer with 1,889 points and fifth on the all-time rebounding list with 887.
