Greensboro, NC – Virginia men’s golfers Bruce Woodall (Yanceyville, N.C.) and Conrad Von Borsig (Swarthmore, Pa.) have been named to the 2009 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team as announced by the ACC today. Von Borsig was also named to the team in 2007.

Von Borsig appeared in 10 events during his senior season and finished the year with a 74.18 stroke average. He played in the NCAA Championships for the first time as a Cavalier and helped UVa to a 27th-place finish. He had two top-10 finishes during the season, tied his single-best round (68) and posted a career low 54-hole tournament score (209).

Woodall, a freshman, played in eight tournaments and posted a 75.05 stroke average. He was a part of UVa’s five-man roster for the NCAA Championships. He had a pair of top-10 finishes during the season and was UVa’s top scorer at the River Landing Intercollegiate.

To be eligible for consideration for the team a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a cumulative 3.00 average during his academic career.
