Virginia Places Second at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J.-The Virginia rowing team completed action at the Princeton Chase Sunday morning (Oct. 26) on Lake Carnegie.
The Cavaliers had five boats in the Varsity Eight race, with the UVa V8 placing second in a time of 14:26.465. Brown finished first in 14:25.321, while Syracuse was third (14:43.211), Yale was fourth (14:43.813) and Princeton was fifth (15:03.362).
Virginia’s Second Varsity Eight (15:14.425) and Third Varsity Eight (15:20.834) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, finishing ahead Yale and Brown’s second boats.
UVa’s Fourth Varsity Eight finished in 14th place in 15:31.147, ahead of Penn and Georgetown’s top boats and Princeton’s second boat. The Cavaliers’ Fifth Varsity Eight placed 24th overall in 16:08.244.
Virginia finishes the 2014 fall season Nov. 16, when it hosts the Rivanna Romp on the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va., at 9 a.m.
