CHARLOTTESVILLE – The fourth-ranked Virginia men’s tennis team concludes its regular season schedule with a pair of road matches this week. The Cavaliers visit No. 32 Florida State on Friday at 5 p.m. and Miami on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Virginia (18-3, 10-0 ACC) stayed at No. 4 in this week’s ITA rankings after posting victories over Georgia Tech and No. 28 Louisville last week. The Cavaliers have won 134 consecutive matches against ACC opponents, the longest streak in conference history in any sport. Virginia has already clinched its 12th consecutive ACC regular season title and can post its ninth consecutive undefeated ACC schedule with a pair of wins this week.
The Cavaliers have four players in the latest ITA singles rankings. Ryan Shane (Falls Church, Va.) is No. 4, Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) is No. 16, Mitchell Frank (Annandale, Va.) is No. 20 and Collin Altamirano (Sacramento, Calif.) is No. 77 in this week’s rankings. Shane and Luca Corinteli (Alexandria, Va.) are No. 5 in the ITA doubles rankings.
The Seminoles (18-7, 6-4 ACC) are coming off a split during a trip to North Carolina last week, downing NC State 5-2 before falling at Duke 7-0. Florida State is led by Michael Rinaldi and Benjamin Lock, ranked No. 95 and No. 98, respectively, in the latest ITA rankings.
The Hurricanes (7-14, 1-9 ACC) enter the final weekend of the year looking to snap a four-match losing streak. Miami hosts Virginia Tech on Friday before playing the Cavaliers on the final day of the regular season.
The Cavaliers will begin postseason play next week with the 2015 ACC Tournament at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C. Virginia will be the No. 1 seed at the event and will begin play on April 24 in the quarterfinals after a first round bye.
