Former #UVAWBB standout Mike Scott is in his first season with the Washington Wizards after signing a free agent contract with the team in the offseason. He scored a season-high 24 points in Tuesday night’s victory over the Pelicans. Scott, in this article by Zachary Rosen for NBA.com, says that “the basket feels like an ocean” this year.

Former #UVAMTEN All-American Ryan Shane finished out 2017 by picking up his second singles title of the season, winning the USTA Tallahassee Futures title in Florida. He improved to 2-1 in USTA Pro Circuit finals in 2017, also winning Laguna Niguel, Calif., in September, and finishing runner-up at Fountain Valley, Calif., later in the same month. He is now 5-3 career in USTA Pro Circuit finals. The Tallahassee result improved on his runner-up effort at the same event in 2015.
