2018 ACC All-Academic Team
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –
Goalkeeper Jeff Caldwell (Todd, N.C.) was listed on the ACC All-Academic team for the third year in a row. Teammates Pablo Aguilar (Guatemala City, Guatemala), Joe Bell (Wanaka, New Zealand) and Sergi Nus (Barcelona, Spain) were recognized for the first time.

The four representatives on the ACC All-Academic team this season matched a school-record, previously accomplished in 2012 and 2014. Caldwell joins former Cavaliers Hunter Jumper and Todd Wharton as three-time honorees.

Caldwell (History) and Aguilar (Foreign Affairs) were both selected in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, 19th overall and 59th overall respectively. Nus (History) and Bell (Undeclared) both took home All-ACC accolades this season.

Academic requirements for selection to the 35-member All-ACC Academic Team were a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season were also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
