Dike Captures ACC Player of the Week Honors
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Freshman forward Daryl Dike (Edmond, Okla.) was named ACC co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday (Oct. 15). The first year scored three goals in two games to help Virginia to a pair of victories.
Dike scored twice in Virginia’s 3-0 win over No. 5 Denver last Monday (Oct. 8), including the game-winner in the 28th minute. His two-goal performance was the first by a Virginia scorer this season and first since Pablo Aguilar scored twice in the ACC Quarterfinal against Boston College in 2017. Dike added his third goal of the week and fourth in four games with a tally against Clemson on Friday night (Oct. 12).

Appearing in seven of the 11 games this season, Dike is second on the team with four goals and ranks sixth in the ACC with 0.57 goals per game.
Dike shares the weekly award with NC State’s David Loera who totaled five points (2g, 1 a), including the game-winner in 1-0 win over No. 1 North Carolina on Friday (Oct. 12)
Virginia begins a three-game home stand on Tuesday night when it hosts Radford at 7 p.m.
