CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.  – The Virginia Cavaliers (6-2, 2-0 ACC) return home to host the Richmond Spiders (6-3, 3-0 SoCon) on Friday night at Klöckner Stadium. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. UVA is ranked No. 7 in this week in both the USILA coaches and Inside Lacrosse/Maverick media polls. Richmond is receiving votes in the coaches poll and is ranked No. 18 in the media poll.

PARKING
Parking for Friday’s game will be available on a first-come first-served basis in the University Hall and John Paul Jones Arena parking lots. Parking will also be available at the Emmet/Ivy Garage.

 CAVALIER TIDBITS
• UVA owns its first five-game winning streak since starting the 2014 season 6-0.
• Dox Aitken is No. 4 all-time at UVA among midfielders in career goals with 88, tying him with Matt Poskay (2003-06). Shamel Bratton (89) is next up on the list at No. 3.
• Michael Kraus has at least one point in all 40 career games he has appeared in. The active streak is currently No. 4 in the nation.
• Kraus has been on fire during UVA’s current five-game winning streak. He boasts 14 goals and 11 assists for 25 total points.
• Kraus needs three goals to become the 16th Cavalier to reach 100 career goals.
• In six games this season, UVA is limiting its opponents to a 72.0 clearing percentage (116-of-161), which is 5.7 failed clears per game by UVA opponents.
• UVA has scored 103 goals through eight games this year and has assisted 62 of them. That means UVA has recorded an assist on 60.2 percent of its goals in 2019.
 
SERIES INFO
• Friday marks the sixth all-time meeting between the Cavaliers and Spiders in men’s lacrosse, but only the third at Klöckner Stadium.
• UVA owns a 5-0 record in the all-time series with the Spiders.
• UVA’s 2014 game at Robins Stadium was the very first men’s lacrosse game in the history of the Richmond program.
• UVA currently owns a 70-game winning streak against programs from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
 
RICHMOND
• Dan Chemotti is in his sixth season as the head coach of Richmond after being the top assistant on Charley Toomey’s staff at Loyola, including being part of the Greyhounds’ 2012 NCAA title team.
• Chemotti took Richmond to the NCAA Tournament in the Spiders’ first NCAA Division I season as the champions of the Atlantic Sun Tournament.
• UR is coming off a SoCon championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2017 with an 11-6 record, losing at Albany in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
• Teddy Hatfield leads Richmond with 43 points and a team-best 21 assists.
• Ryan Lanchbury has a team-best 30 goals and is No. 2 on the team with 39 points.
• Mitch Savoca rounds out the leading goal scorers with 12.
• Jack Rusbuldt is saving 55.2 percent of shots between the pipes and posting a 9.54 goals against average.

Tickets at the gate will be $10 (reserved) and $8 (general admission).
