CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Seniors Sammy Mueller (Pelham, N.Y.) and Ashley Stilo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) earned 2020 Inside Lacrosse Media All-America honors, the organization announced on Tuesday (March 31).
 
This is the third All-America honor for Mueller, a second team selection in 2020, in her remarkable career at Virginia. Despite only playing eight games this season, Mueller ranks fourth in career draw controls (204), sixth in career goals (165), eight in career points (215) and ninth in career caused turnovers (84) at UVA. In 2020, Mueller led the team with 28 points on 21 goals and seven assists. She also led the ACC in ground balls (3.75) for the second consecutive year.
 
Stilo, a defender, was selected as Honorable Mention All-America for her first career honor. Stilo moved into the starting lineup this season and paced the Cavaliers’ defense with 12 caused turnovers and 11 ground balls. Stilo had a career-best four caused turnovers at Duke and picked up a career-high four ground balls in the win at Stanford. She had a caused turnover in five of the seven games she played, with multiple in four of those contests.
