GREENSBORO, Ga. – The No. 13 Virginia men’s golf team shot -8, 280 to finish the 14-team Linger Longer Invitational in second place. The Cavaliers finished the three-day event at 29-under 835 at Great Waters Golf Course at Reynolds Plantation. Alabama took the team title with a score of 40-under 824.

Bryan Lee led UVA with a fourth-place finish at 8-under 208. He shot 2-under 70 for the second consecutive day to finish off the tournament. It was the fifth time this season Lee has posted a top-10 finish. Lee’s round featured 15 pars, one eagle, one birdie and one bogey.

Ben James posted a final-round score of 3-under 69 to move up to sixth place overall at 7-under 209. That was the 15th top-10 showing during his two-year UVA career.

For the second consecutive day, freshman Josh Duangmanee led the team in scoring, shooting 4-under 68. He notched his first top-10 finish, placing 10th at 6-under 210. That was his best tournament score and finish at UVA.

Deven Patel and Paul Chang tied for 22nd place at 2-under 214. Patel finished with a 74 while Chang carded a score of 73 on Tuesday.

Alabama’s Jonathan Griz led the event from wire-to-wire and took medalist honors at 13-under 203.

The Cavaliers will be off until April 8-9 when they host the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at Birdwood Golf Course in the final regular-season tournament of the year.
