CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team announced its 2024 schedule on Wednesday (July 10).

The slate features 16 regular-season games, including eight home contests and a home scrimmage on Aug. 24 against Richmond. Eleven of the opponents were NCAA tournament teams in 2023.

First-year head coach Ole Keusgen will make his official head coaching debut on the road at Penn State on August 30.

The Cavaliers home slate begins on Friday, Sept. 6 against Temple. UVA takes ACC newcomers Cal and Stanford on September 20 and 22. The home schedule also includes visits from William & Mary (Sept. 29), Louisville (Oct. 6), and Syracuse (Oct. 18). Virginia hosts Saint Joseph’s on Oct. 13 in a rematch of last year’s NCAA first-round contest. The Cavaliers host the Miami RedHawks for Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 20.

The road schedule is highlighted by rematches of last year’s NCAA quarterfinals at Maryland on Sept. 13 and NCAA semifinals at North Carolina on October 25.

Additionally, Virginia will host Richmond in a home scrimmage on Saturday, August 24.

Broadcast selections, including games appearing on the ACC Network, will be released and posted to VirginiaSports.com once the Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN determine them. Match times will also be announced at a later date.

Admission is free for all regular-season home matches.
