CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 Virginia field hockey team (9-0, 3-0 ACC) returns to conference play by taking on No. 11 Boston College (7-2, 2-0 ACC) on Friday, Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. in Newton, Mass.

  • Virginia remained at No. 3 in the NFHCA Poll, a position they have held since the preseason poll
  • Virginia is one of four unbeaten teams remaining in NCAA Division I
  • The Cavaliers 9-0 start is their best start since 2010. Virginia’s best ever start to a season was 11-0 in 2010
  • The Cavaliers are sixth in the nation in scoring margin (second in the ACC) at +2.19. UVA is seventh in both goals per game (3.22) and goals-against average (0.99)
