AT VIRGINIA:
2023 – Appeared in all 12 of UVA’s games … led all freshman ACC defenders with 71 tackles … intercepted his second pass of the season and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown against then No. 11 Louisville (11/9) to tie the game at 14 in the third quarter. It was the first interception return for a touchdown since D’Sean Perry returned an interception 84 yards for a score against Abilene Christian in 2020 … his 12 tackles against William & Mary (10/7) were the most by a UVA freshman linebacker since Ahmad Brooks had 12 in the 2003 Continental Tire Bowl against Pitt. It was the most by any Cavalier true freshman defender since Quin Blanding in 2014 (5 double-digit tackle efforts) … earned his first start against NC State, made 11 tackles (8 solo) … made collegiate debut against Tennessee (9/2) in the season opener.
