TIFFANY ON SCHROTER
2024
– “John is running up the final step that will place him upon the stage of Division One lacrosse, and the rest of the world is about to take notice. After redshirting his first year on Grounds, John will commence his competitive journey at UVA with three semesters of preparation. He has the lateral footwork to stay with a quicker dodging attackman as well as the strength to wrestle the bigger opponent as he defends our cage. Due to such attributes, John will receive some of the most difficult assignments in the nation.” 2023 – “What do you get when you combine a large frame, a big motor, and a joy of competing along with exceptional footwork honed from playing high-level soccer as a striker?  John turned heads with his play in the first month of the fall, only to then be sidelined for much of the rest due to an injury.  Despite there being much to learn as a young defenseman, John’s high-level sport acumen is allowing him to demonstrate early on that he grasps much of our half-field and riding schemes:  John has an exciting future here.”

WHY UVA?

  • “I originally became interested in UVA when my sister was a student there and told me all about my freshman year of high school. As I got older and matured, I became more aware of the school’s reputation for being an academic and athletic powerhouse and quickly fell in love with it. The campus is one of a kind, and when I was lucky enough to receive an offer to play for the men’s lacrosse team. I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this team and university.”
