Markie Hopkins

Markie Hopkins joined the University of Virginia Athletics Department as a Learning Specialist in August 2025. She currently works with the Cavalier football program, bringing a unique perspective as both an educator and a former student-athlete.

Prior to UVA, Hopkins served as an Academic Success Program intern at the University of Michigan, where she mentored student-athletes and supported the tutoring programs.

A standout diver at Northwestern University, Markie is a Big Ten Champion and a two-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Education at Northwestern, where she developed a passion for helping student-athletes in their pursuit of excellence academically, athletically and personally.

Outside of work, Hopkins enjoys playing pickleball, staying active and exploring new boba shops.
