Ellis Laveen
Director of Player Development
Position
Laveen is in his first season as the Director of Player Development. He joined the staff in January of 2025 after serving as a graduate manager during the Fall of 2024. He received his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from UVA in the same semester.
Prior to joining the Cavaliers, Laveen was a member of the UVA Club Baseball team and played one season in Spring of 2024 during his graduate education.
Before Virginia, Laveen attended the University of Arizona where he competed for the Wildcats club baseball team for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He worked concurrently for the student radio station where he commentated for various Arizona sports focusing on Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey. Laveen completed his B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Arizona in May of 2023.
