Sunday’s first contest against the Bulldogs ofFresno State will mark the first time that these two schools have met onthe soccer pitch. It will also mark the home opener for the 1999 season.
Duking it out with the Dukes: The Cavaliers will face James Madison onThursday, a team that has never beaten Virginia (0-8-2 in the series). TheHoos have outscored the Dukes 21-10 in a series that dates back to 1990.

Shades of things to come: Angela Hucles currently has 15 careergame-winning goals and is in third position all-time at UVA. The record is17… keep watching for updates as Hucles nears another career milestone.
Give those gals a hand!: Laura Gaworecki and Darci Borski both had sevenassists last year for the Cavaliers, which rank as the second-highestassist totals for freshmen in school history. At this pace, they will endup in second-place all-time for assists at UVA.
Ang garners the ACColades: Angela Hucles was named one of the 15 finalistsfor the Hermann Trophy, which honors the outstanding collegiate player inthe country.
