CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Cavaliers, currently ranked #16 in thenation, will face #8 Clemson in the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’sSoccer Championships on Thursday, Nov. 4. Virginia is the fifth seed in thetournament and the Tigers are the fourth seed.The game between the Cavaliers and the Tigers will take place at8:00 pm on the campus of the University of North Carolina. The other firstround matchups include Wake Forest vs N. C. State, Maryland vs Duke, andtop-seeded North Carolina against Florida State. The winners of theUVA-Clemson game and the North Carolina-Florida State game will meet in thesemifinals, which will take place on Friday at 8:00 pm. The first semifinalwill be held at 6:00 pm. The ACC finals will take place on Sunday, Nov. 7at 1:00 pm.

Virginia is led in scoring by Angela Hucles (Norfolk, Va./NorfolkAcademy) who has 8 goals and 7 assists on the season for 23 points. JillMaxwell (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) leads the team with 9 goals, a career highfor her, and Katie Tracy (Richmond, Va./James River) leads the team with 7assists.
