CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Cavaliers, currently ranked #10 in the nation,will face #8 Old Dominion in the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 13.Virginia (13-7) will play the Monarchs (16-6) at the University ofMaryland, who is hosting the regional. The Terrapins will face Lafayette onSaturday, with the winners taking on the winner of the Virginia/OldDominion match.

This is the third consecutive year that the Cavaliers and theMonarchs will face each other in the NCAA Championships and the fourth timein five years. These two have met six times previously in NCAA play, withthe Monarchs taking all six contests. The seven-game rivalry is thethird-longest in NCAA Championship history.

On September 26 Old Dominion defeated Virginia 3-2 in overtime. TheMonarchs had built a 2-0 lead at halftime before Virginia closed outregulation with two goals to force the extra session.
