Chris Albright Named ACC Player of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Cavalier sophomore Chris Albright (Philadelphia, Pa./William Penn Charter) was named the ACC Player of the Week for his efforts in two games last week. Albright scored twice as the Cavaliers defeated Buffalo 5-1 and added another goal as Virginia defeated ACC-rival N. C. State 4-0 on Saturday, October 3. The Cavaliers, who stand at 8-0-2 and lead the conference with a 3-0-1 record, will host the Coca-Cola Classic at Klockner Stadium on Friday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 11.
Albright leads the fourth-ranked Cavaliers in scoring with 11 goals and 1 assist. He ranks second in the conference in scoring with 23 points and third in the conference in points per game with 2.30/game. His 11 goals is the second-highest total in the conference to date.
