Driscoll Shoots 4-over Par at First PGA Tour Event

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia golfer James Driscoll shot a 4-over par 288 (70-70-72-76) this weekend at the CVS Charity Classic at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, Mass. The tournament is the first PGA Tour event of Driscoll’s career. He was the only amateur to make the cut after two rounds.
Driscoll joins Rhode Island natives Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade as the only college students/amateurs to make a PGA cut at Pleasant Valley.
Steve Pate shot a 15-under par 269 to defeat Scott Hoch by one stroke.
