Men's Soccer Set to Dual Stanford Sunday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Second-seeded University of Virginia and Stanford will battle for a spot in the men’s soccer Final Four here Sunday at 2 p.m. at Klockner Stadium.
Virginia will be looking for its second consecutive Final Four appearance and its eighth of the decade. The Cavaliers are 1-0-0 all-time against the Cardinal with their only meeting coming in 1989. UVa defeated Stanford 2-1 in overtime in the championship game of the Pacific West Classic in Stanford.
All-time, the Cavaliers are 35-13-4 in the NCAA Tournament with a 8-2-1 mark in the quarterfinals round. UVa has won six consecutive round-of-eight matches and is 8-2-0 in quarterfinal matches at home.
