Virginia Voted Third in Pre-Season ACC Poll

ATLANTA, Ga.–The Florida State Seminoles have been voted as overwhelming favorites to repeat once again as ACC Football Champions.
The results, as voted by the members of the media at the ACC Football Kickoff Weekend, list the Seminoles as a unanimous choice to finish atop the conference standings with North Carolina and Virginia selected in the second and third spots.
The Cavaliers were only three votes short of the second place Tar Heels, but a full 91 votes ahead of fourth place Georgia Tech.
Virginia opens the 1998 season September 5th at Auburn.
