CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia has sold out of tickets for its football games with Wake Forest University (Sept. 18) and Duke University (Oct. 9) at the Carl Smith Center, home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. Five of Virginia’s six home football games this season are now sold out. Virginia has also sold out of tickets for the Cavaliers’ home games with Virginia Tech (Oct. 2), Florida State (Oct. 30) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 6).

Virginia does have tickets remaining for its home game with Buffalo on November 13.

UVa announced last week that it had sold out of season tickets for the 1999 football season and established a football season ticket sales record. Virginia sold 29,023 football season tickets for the 1999 season, surpassing last year’s record sale of 26,185 season tickets. Season ticket wait list requests are currently being accepted for the 2000 season.

The Virginia athletic ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 800/542-8821 or 804/924-8821.
