CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team will openthe home portion of its season by hosting the 2000 UVA Cavalier ClassicFriday through Sunday, March 3-5 at The Park on the North Grounds of theUniversity of Virginia. In addition to Virginia, Delaware, EasternKentucky, Ohio University and Wright State are also competing in thetournament.
The ‘Hoos enter the tournament with a 2-11 record and open the tourney byhosting Delaware (2-3) at 11:00 a.m. Virginia then plays Ohio at 1:00 p.m.At 3:00 p.m., Delaware takes on Ohio to conclude the first day ofcompetition. Eastern Kentucky (2-6) and Wright State (6-6) begin play inthe UVA Cavalier Classic on Saturday.
