CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia’s women’s noviceeightis the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week.
Virginia’s novice eight was recognized for its performance attheACC/Big Ten Double Dual Regatta on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C., lastSaturday (March 25). UVa’s novice eight defeated both Ohio State andMichigan during the regatta. The Cavaliers defeated Ohio State 6:46.28to7:08.69, and UVa beat Michigan 6:43.0 to 7:02.0.
Competing for Virginia in the novice eight were AndreaCzarkowski,Emily Richard, Becky Sell, Amanda Kennedy, Meaghan Keeley, Abby Ramirez,Shannon Tocchio, Lauren Platenberg and coxswain McRae Petrey.
