Charlottesville, Va. – The IWLCA Poll Committee has released thefifth week’s rankings for the NCAA Division I lacrosse field for 2000.Rankings will be released weekly on Monday afternoons.
The same 20 teams stayed in the poll this week for a fourthconsecutive week, and there was very little shuffling as 16 teams heldtheir ground and no school moved more than two positions.
The IWLCA Poll for April 3 is as follows (with current records,poll points,first place votes, and last week’s ranking)

In games involving ranked teams this week, half of the top-20 arein action on Wednesday in games against other teams in the poll. New #6Delaware, the highest mover of the week, travels to #2 Princeton. #4 JamesMadison also takes on a top-10 foe, going to #8 Virginia. #10 Loyolatravels to #13 George Mason, #19 Old Dominion goes to #20 William & Mary,and #16 Penn State takes a trip to #18 Temple. The Monarchs are also inaction on Friday at the Patriots. Saturday’s action sees six top-20matchups, including two in the top-10. The #3 Blue Devils host the #8Cavaliers and the #6 Hoyas welcome the #5 Tar Heels. Other games onSaturday include a pair of Ivy matchups in #9 Dartmouth at #17 Cornell and#14 Yale going to the #2 Tigers as well as the #10 Greyhounds at the #16Nittany Lions, and #12 Vanderbilt going to the #6 Blue Hens.
