CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia’s women’s varsityeightis ranked fourth in the nation in the latest poll conducted by USRowingandthe Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
In the varsity eight rankings, Washington is ranked first,followedby Brown, California-Berkeley, Virginia and Southern California.Princetonis ranked sixth, followed by Michigan, Wisconsin, Boston University, andRadcliffe.
The Cavaliers finished third behind Washington andCalifornia-Berkeley in the varsity eight competition at the San DiegoCrewClassic last Sunday (April 2). Southern California finished fourth inthatcompetition followed by Michigan and Wisconsin.
UVa’s varsity eight was ranked second in the preseason rankingsbyUSRowing and the CRCA.
Virginia’s next competition is on April 15 at the GeorgeWashingtonInvitational.
