United States National Women’s Lacrosse Touring Team To Australia Announced

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Sue Stahl, the head coach of the United States Women’s LacrosseElite team, has announced the team that will be representing the USA duringa tour to Australia this summer. The team will enter training camp on June22 and then depart for Australia on June 28. The team will compete at theAustralian National Championships July 1-8 and then play five games againstAustralian teams, including a test series of three matches against theAustralian national team.

The United States fell to Australia 6-4 in round robin play at the1997 IFWLA World Championships in Tokyo and then defeated the Aussies 3-2in sudden-victory overtime in the championship game to win their thirdconsecutive World Cup.
