Brian Kollar (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) has qualfied for the USA Track and Field Olympic Trials finals in the javelin after posting a throw of 71.47m (234′ 6″) in the prelims. Kollar, who won the ACC title in April and followed that up with a second-place finish in the NCAA Championships, finiahed fifth in his section and sixth overall.
Leading the competition is Breaux Greer from New York AC with a toss of 80.18m (263’01.00″). Currently in third place is Ty with a toss of 77.97m (255’10.00″) . The finals will be held tonight, Tuesday, July 18.
