UVa Student-Athletes Third In ACC Honor Roll Listing

CHARLOTTESVILLE– – The University of Virginia had 202 student-athletes named to the 1999-2000 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll.

The 44th ACC Honor Roll, noting academic excellence by student-athletes for the 1999-2000 school year, contained a record 1,659 individuals. The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year.

Duke had the most individuals named to the Honor Roll with 322 followed by North Carolina (240) and Virginia (202). Clemson was fourth with 192 followed by Maryland (181), Florida State (171), North Carolina State (144), Wake Forest (113) and Georgia Tech (94).
