CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s soccer team was ranked the number-one team in the country today, according to Soccer America’sTop 20 poll. Since the beginning of the 1984 season, the Cavaliers have been the top-ranked team in 70 of 182 Soccer America polls and 55 of 169 National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) poll , formerly the ISAA poll. UVa’s number-one ranking marks the first time the Cavaliers were slated the top team in the country since November 17, 1996. Here’s a look at this week’s poll:
