CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team opened its spring season on Saturday (March 17) with victories over San Diego State by the varsity eight and the second varsity eight at the Rivanna Reservoir.
Virginia’s varsity eight finished with a time of 7:07 and San Diego State finished in 7:24.
UVa’s second varsity eight finished with a time of 7:14 and the Cavaliers’ third varsity eight finished second in that competition in 7:24. San Diego State was third with a time of 8:00.
Virginia competes against Michigan and Ohio State on March 24 at Lake Monticello. At 10:00 a.m., UVa competes against Michigan and Ohio State takes on North Carolina. At 2:00 p.m., Virginia competes against Ohio State and Michigan takes on North Carolina.
