CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The # 54 University of Virginia women’s tennis team swept Clemson University, 7-0, in an Atlantic Coast Conference match on Saturday (Mar. 31) at the Snyder Tennis Center in Charlottesville. UVa lost only one match — at No. 3 doubles — en route to the convincing win.

The Cavaliers won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, and won all six of their singles matches to avenge a pair of losses to the Tigers last season. Virginia is now 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and 12-4 overall.

UVa plays Georgia Tech in another ACC match tomorrow (Sunday, April 1) at the Snyder courts.
