UVA Student-Athletes Third In ACC Honor Roll Listing

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia had 211 student-athletes named to the 2000-01 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll.

The 45th annual ACC Honor Roll, noting academic excellence by student-athletes for the 2000-01 school year, contains a record 1,711 individuals. The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year.

Duke had the most individuals named to the Honor Roll with 344 followed by North Carolina (251) and Virginia (211). Maryland was fourth with 203 followed by Clemson (176), North Carolina State (157), Florida State (146), Georgia Tech (121) and Wake Forest (102).
