Virginia Golf Finishes Sixth at Tennessee Tournament of Champions

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Virginia men’s golf team finished sixth at the three-round Tennessee Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions at the par-70 6,296-yard Holston Hills Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. The Cavaliers shot a 14-over-par 854 to finish 13 shots back of tournament champion Tennessee.
Cavalier golfer Kevin O’Connell finished in a tie for second. He carded a three-under-par 207 for the tournament. Steve Marino was Virginia’s next-highest finisher with a one-over-par 211. Thomas Lee (213), Justin Goodhue (225) and Jeremy Luce (226) finished 16th, 58th and 60th, respectively. Alabama’s Nick Rousey captured the individual title with a 10-under-par 200.
Tennessee shot an 841 to finish two shots ahead of Auburn.
