PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team won the open four race and finished fifth in the open eight on Sunday (Oct. 28) at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie.
Virginia won the open four with a time of 16:17.29. Columbia was second with a time of 16:43.15 followed by Princeton (16:51.66), Dartmouth (16:54.63) and Radcliffe (17:01.72). Virginia’s “B” boat finished sixth with a time of 17:01.90 and the Cavaliers’ “C” boat was 10th with a time of 17:23.09.
UVa finished fifth in the open eight with a time of 14:55.40. Princeton won the race with a time of 14:07.16 followed by Yale (14:27.01), Radcliffe (14:52.31), Columbia (14:53.68) and Virginia. The Cavaliers’ “B” boat was seventh with a time of 15:01.00.
