Virginia Golf Wins Hawaii Fall Classic Tournament Title

KAHUKU, Hawaii – The University of Virginia men’s golf team captured the 2001 University of Hawaii Fall Classic on Tuesday (Nov. 13). The Cavaliers shot a 39-over-par 903 in three rounds at the par 72, 7,199-yard Turtle Bay Resort Golf Club in Kahuku, Hawaii, to defeat runner-up International Pacific (from Australia) by two strokes.
UVa’s Kevin O’Connell finished in a tie for fourth with a three-over-par 219. He was followed by Justin Goodhue in 12th (227), Steve Marino in a tie for 14th (229), Thomas Lee (21st, 231), and Jeremy Luce (31st, 237).
